FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Short, accurate answers. If something is not here, ask us directly.
What is ORVYNEX POS?
A cloud business management platform covering point of sale, inventory, purchasing,
customers, suppliers, returns, reporting and multi-branch operations — developed under
the ORVYNEX brand.
Is it cloud based?
Yes. It runs in the browser and is hosted for you. There is nothing to install at the
counter and no local server to maintain.
Can I manage multiple shops?
Yes. Branches are a core concept rather than an add-on: each branch holds its own stock,
its own settings and its own reporting, and you can view them individually or together.
Can different users access different branches?
Yes. Each user is granted access to specific branches, and roles can be assigned per
branch. Someone who works at one shop sees that shop's data.
Does it support serial-number products?
Yes. Serial-tracked products are captured at intake and allocated at the point of sale,
and each unit carries a full history — sold, returned, under warranty, returned to the
supplier, or disposed of.
Does it support warranty tracking?
Yes. Warranty dates are computed from the product's warranty period at the moment of sale,
and units can be looked up by serial, invoice or customer for claims and replacements.
Can I track customer dues?
Yes. Credit sales post to the customer's ledger and receipts reduce the balance. Ageing on
receivables is available in reporting.
Can I manage supplier payables?
Yes. Received purchases create a payable, payments reduce it, and supplier returns raise a
debit note costed from the original purchase line.
Does it support monthly, yearly and lifetime subscriptions?
Yes — all three. Which plans are currently offered, and what each includes, is on the
pricing page.
Can I generate PDF reports?
Yes. Reports stream to PDF, and large reports are generated in the background so a big
export does not tie up your screen.
Is my business data separated from other businesses?
Yes. Each business is a separate tenant, and that separation is enforced at the query layer
on the server — not by hiding things in the interface. Background jobs run under an
explicit tenant and branch context for the same reason.
How do I get an account?
Accounts are provisioned by our team rather than through self-service signup. Send a request
through the contact form
and we will set up your organisation and first branch.
